Lily Sewell
Founder and President of the Duchesne Chapter
Lily Sewell is a junior at Duchesne Academy. Her passion for STEM and love of working with children prompted her to initiate a JuSTEMagine chapter. Her goal for the chapter at Duchesne is to provide after-school programs for elementary-aged children that consist of hands-on experiments, creative problem-solving activities, and fun project-based learning that will spark curiosity and build confidence in the young students who face economic barriers. She hopes her program will help the students envision themselves as future scientists, engineers, and innovators. Outside of JuSTEMagine, Lily is a member of the varsity soccer and cross-country teams, National Honor Society, and HOSA-Future Health Professionals. She also enjoys volunteering at the hospital and working at the Monroe Meyer Institute, where she continues to grow her interest in working with children. In her free time, Lily enjoys reading, playing with her dog, and exploring National Parks.
