Mahika Kapoor
Founder and President of the Louisville Chapter
Mahika is a high school freshman from Louisville, Kentucky, who has always been deeply interested in STEM. She has participated in a wide range of STEM activities, including Science Olympiad, science fair, robotics, iGEM, and several math competitions. Mahika is also involved in Quick Recall, Debate, and FPS. She is particularly interested in the healthcare field and hopes to explore careers that blend science, technology, and service. Passionate about STEM, Mahika is dedicated to sharing her enthusiasm and encouraging others to pursue it. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts, playing badminton, biking, building with Legos, and spending time with her family.

Avika Malik
Vice President of the Louisville Chapter
Avika Malik is a freshman at DuPont Manual High School in Louisville, KY. She is interested in STEM and enjoys sharing her love of STEM with others, especially younger students. She hopes to pursue a career in healthcare. At school, she participates in Science Olympiad, Women in Science and Engineering, science fair, and many more activities. In her free time, she loves to read, paint, and play piano.

Hitanshi Parikh
Co Director of Technology
Hitanshi is a freshmen attending duPont Manual High School in Louisville, Kentucky. She joined JuSTEMgine because she’s passionate about introducing younger students to the world of STEM and helping them discover how interesting and fun it can be. Through her classes and extracurriculars, she has developed an interest in pursuing a STEM-related career in the future.
At Manual, Hitanshi is active in several extracurriculars, including Women in Science and Engineering (WISE), Science Olympiad, Math Honors Society (MAO), Red Cross Club, Science Fair, Key Club, and Beta Club. Outside of academics, she loves reading, traveling, and especially painting!

Rujuta Selmokar
Co-Director of Technology
Rujuta is a high school student from Louisville, Kentucky, with a strong passion for STEM and community engagement. She is deeply interested in STEM, community service, as seen through her participation in Science Olympiad, Science fairs, iGEM, and the Red Cross Club, where she explores science and technology while also supporting service-oriented initiatives. She has volunteered with the Louisville Public Library and with the HTKY Non-Profit Organization, helping coordinate events and community programs. Whether supporting youth programs, promoting environmental conservation, or engaging in social justice initiatives, she values experiences that blend learning, creativity, and service.
