Gabby Montes

Gabby Montes is a junior at the Beacon High School in Manhattan, New York City. Growing up in a household that emphasized the importance of education, she has developed a great love for learning and educating others, and hopes to pass on that love for learning to other young people. Gabby's interest in STEM was initially sparked in 6th grade, when she was accepted into the Science Alliance program at the American Museum of Natural History for 6th-8th graders; she's enjoyed math and science ever since. As of recently, she has become interested in chemistry, and especially how it can be incorporated into baking, which she enjoys doing in her spare time. In addition to loving baking, Gabby is also a longtime pianist, a bassist, a singer, and an avid writer of poetry.
